The Osaka edition of Summer Sonic, one of Japan's biggest urban music festivals. For its 25th anniversary, 2026 expands from the usual two days to three, August 14–16 at the Expo '70 Commemorative Park. L'Arc-en-Ciel, The Strokes and Ado top the AIR stage bills, with Jamiroquai, BABYMETAL, FKA twigs, David Byrne, LE SSERAFIM, Sakanaction and many more across five stage areas. During the festival, park entry is limited to ticket holders.

Can I soak up the vibe from the park without a ticket?

No — during the festival, entry to the park itself (Natural and Cultural Gardens / Japanese Garden) is limited to ticket holders, per the park's official notice.

What's the best way to get there?

The basic route is a 5-minute walk from Bampaku-kinen-koen Station on the Osaka Monorail. To skip the crush, round-trip shuttle buses run from Umeda, Namba, Kyoto, Sannomiya and other hubs (5,300 yen advance). There is no visitor parking.

Does it run in the rain?
