Why You Should Visit

A hands-on fire safety event run by the Suma Fire Station inside Kobe Suma Sea World, held for Japan's autumn fire prevention campaign. Kids and adults can try a water fire extinguisher, walk through a smoke-filled evacuation house, cross a rope, practice CPR with an AED, and experience a simulated fire in AR. There is also a fire engine display and a chance for children to try on firefighter gear, with mascots Ukan (Kobe City Fire Bureau) and Orushi (Suma Sea World) making an appearance. A good add-on for families already visiting the aquarium.
