Why You Should Visit

Northern Kinki's largest water festival, run by the Tamba Junior Chamber and now in its 10th year, drawing over 5,000 visitors annually. On the wide natural lawns of Tamba Nenrin no Sato, the stage unleashes a mass water blast — "Splash Time" — three times during the day. Between soakings there are free attractions, a Tamba dinosaur fossil-digging activity, and a food area lined with local shops and trucks. Bring a swimsuit and a water gun; admission and parking are both free, and most of the program is aimed at families.
