Venue & access: Around JR Kugemura Station, Kakogawa Line (Sannan-cho, Tamba City) Right by JR Kugemura Station on the Kakogawa Line. Parking near the station is limited, so drivers are asked to use the lots around Tanikawa Station (station lot: paid, about 40 cars; temporary lot: free, about 50 cars).

Why You Should Visit

The 12th stop of the JR Kakogawa Line Relay Marché, a series that takes turns at stations along the line to get more people riding it. This time the small unstaffed Kugemura Station in Tamba City becomes a Friday-evening night market with food and drink stalls. There is a giant maze, readings of folk tales and ghost stories, a lantern launch and a Kakogawa Line quiz for children and adults alike. A prize draw and fossil-replica making are open only to visitors who arrive by train, so the ride out is part of the fun.

Can I use ICOCA to get to Kugemura Station?
