Why You Should Visit

An outdoor art and craft fair held every autumn in Tamba City since 1991, now in its 35th edition. More than 160 booths fill the lawn and grounds of Tamba Nenrin-no-Sato Park, with makers working in wood, pottery, textiles, glass, leather and metal alongside food stalls. The appeal is buying tableware, tools and accessories straight from the people who made them, and some exhibitors run hands-on workshops. Admission is free, and many visitors make the day trip from Kobe, Osaka and Kyoto.
