Why You Should Visit
At 931 m, the summit area of Mt. Rokko runs about 5°C cooler than central Kobe — and this three-day event leans on nature and sound rather than air conditioning to convey that. Paddle a canoe on the pond in the SIKI Garden, kick off your shoes for an earthing walk across cool moss and grass, or handle wind chimes, kalimbas and other cooling instruments. On the 19th there is an open-air taiko concert. A good fit for anyone who wants to feel Rokko's long history as a summer retreat firsthand.
