Why You Should Visit

High on Mt. Rokko, the ROKKO Museum of Forest Sounds dresses its halls for a European — mostly German — Christmas. Every day, antique music boxes and self-playing organs perform Christmas songs and hymns, with the programme changing from day to day. Alongside the concerts there is a Christmas market selling German folk crafts, a music-box assembly workshop guided by a craftsman, and a Christmas fair at the museum café. The Christmas tree goes up on 1 December. Much of the visit is indoors, making it an easy winter outing for families or couples.
