Why You Should Visit

For two days, Akashi Citizens' Plaza on the 2nd floor of Papios Akashi — right by Akashi Station — turns into a summer festival for families with young children. The three main draws are the Country Train that runs through the hall, the Jurassic Slider for ages 4 to Year 4 of primary school, and a superball-scooping stall. Each ride is 200 yen, or you can swap in a receipt of 1,000 yen or more from a participating shop, issued on August 22 or 23. LaQ building play at Junkudo Bookstore and the children's dispensing experience at Okano Pharmacy are free. Being indoors, it stays comfortable whatever the heat or rain.

The Junkudo Bookstore and Okano Pharmacy programmes are free, and Nagasawa Stationery's prize wheel is 300 yen per go.
By what time should I arrive?

What about rain or the heat?
The venue is the indoor, air-conditioned plaza on the 2nd floor of Papios Akashi, so rain and midsummer heat have little effect.
