Why You Should Visit

A community festival at Kaya Sohō Park, 500 metres up the slopes of Mt. Oe, the mountain of the famous demon-slaying legend. Run by local volunteers under the motto "children's memories build the region's future", it offers bingo with prizes, a treasure hunt for the demon's hidden gold, old-fashioned games like ring toss and top spinning, and workshops, with food and drink from shops in Yosano and Fukuchiyama. Entry is free and it makes an easy family day out.

Entry is free. Food and drink are paid at each stall.

Can I drive to the park?

Organisers ask visitors to use the free shuttle from the former Yosa Elementary School grounds. Shuttle details are posted on their Instagram.

Yes: bingo, the demon's gold treasure hunt from 11:00, ring toss and top spinning, and workshops.
