Price & booking: Free throughout; some programmes require advance sign-up The student stage and outdoor booths need no sign-up. The opening forum and the 75th anniversary forum take advance applications via Google Forms; the opening forum may also admit same-day visitors.
Venue & access: Rohm Theatre Kyoto and Okazaki Park About 10 min on foot from exit 1 of Higashiyama Station on the Tozai subway line, or right by the Okazaki-koen Rohm Theatre bus stop on city buses 32 and 46. There is no general parking at the venue — use the Miyakomesse or Okazaki Park car parks.

There are 12 car parks within a 12-minute walk of Rohm Theatre Kyoto and Okazaki Park, and 3 public restrooms within 8 minutes. The map shows each with its walking time.

Why You Should Visit

A two-day festival at Okazaki Park and Rohm Theatre Kyoto under the theme "the future starts here". Outdoors there are future-job experiences for children, a JC play area and food stalls from Kyoto restaurants. Indoors, an opening forum is joined by a group attempt at a Guinness World Record with comedians Obata no Oniisan and Koji Saikawa. The closing Bon Fes Live is a present-day bon-odori spun by DJs. Everything is free; only some forums need advance sign-up.

Yes — the outdoor area has children's job experiences and the JC play zone, open from 10:30 on 22 August, plus food booths for the day.
