Why You Should Visit

A free car-themed festival run by JAF Kansai on Culture Day at the Shichijo Entrance Plaza of Umekoji Park. The highlight is the road service competition, where JAF crews compete at lifting vehicles, fixing flat tyres and clearing roads, so you can watch roadside rescue work up close. There are also hands-on tow truck controls, a VR bicycle safety experience, a mini-car auto test game, displays of working vehicles and motorsport cars, plus a market and food trucks. Easy to pair with the Kyoto Aquarium or the Kyoto Railway Museum next door, and a good day out for families.
