Why You Should Visit

From 14 November to 13 December, Kyoto Botanical Garden opens in the evening for "NIGHT GARDEN of Autumn Colors – a stroll of autumn leaves and lights". The event is designed to show the garden's plants, autumn foliage above all, after dark, with a walking route through the coloured trees and lights. It runs 18:00–21:30 (last entry 20:30), a chance to be inside the garden after its usual closing time. With Kitayama subway station right by the gate, it suits anyone who wants to see Kyoto's autumn leaves after work or around dinner.
