Why You Should Visit

One of western Japan's largest antique markets, bringing around 300 dealers from across the country into the main hall of Kyoto Pulse Plaza. Held three times a year in spring, early summer and autumn, the fair reaches its 96th edition in autumn 2026. More than 150,000 items are on sale, from tea ceremony utensils, hanging scrolls, old ceramics, ukiyo-e prints and vintage textiles to Chinese art, Western antiques and intricately crafted Meiji-era pieces. Entry is free and the whole fair is indoors, so it works in any weather and rewards a slow half-day browse.

Is there an entry fee?

Entry is free. Items are purchased directly from each dealer.

How do I get from the station to the venue?

A free shuttle bus runs from Exit 4 (northwest) of Takeda Station, served by the subway and Kintetsu lines.

Does it go ahead in the rain?

The fair is held inside the exhibition hall at Kyoto Pulse Plaza, so the weather does not affect browsing.
