Shochu is 300–400 yen a glass, paid by ticket. Advance tickets are 2,000 yen and are worth 2,200 yen of shochu tickets; tickets are also sold at the venue on the day and can be used from a single glass. Food is charged separately, cash only.

Right by Akashi Station (JR / Sanyo Electric Railway), on the 2nd floor of Papios Akashi. By car, use the paid Papios Akashi parking garage — though drivers should not drink at the event.

TICKETS / REGISTRATION

Advance tickets are on sale at the organizer's own shop and at the participating restaurants (Ebisui, Santaka, Daigaku, Matsumotoya, Table5). No reservation is needed — tickets can also be bought at the venue on the day.

• Compare around 30 shochu made from sweet potato, barley, rice and more, one glass at a time
• Staff from each distillery suggest how their bottles are best drunk (on the rocks, with hot water, with soda)
