Why You Should Visit

A three-day outdoor food festival built around Japanese skewered dishes, held at Maiko Park right beneath the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge. Thirty kitchen cars and food tents rotate daily, serving yakitori, kushikatsu and seafood skewers, with about ten stalls offering non-skewer dishes. A free live stage on the lawn hosts music and dance performances throughout. Entry is free, so it suits anyone who wants to graze outdoors with the sea and the bridge in view.
