Dates & time: October 2, 2026 (Fri) - October 4, 2026 (Sun) 18:00–21:30 (last entry 21:00) / Noh at 18:30, 19:30 and 20:30 (about 15 min each)
Price & booking: Adults 2,500 yen / junior and senior high school students 1,000 yen / elementary age and under free Tickets are sold on the official site as well as via Peatix and Ticket Pia.
Venue & access: Kodaiji Temple About 7 min on foot from the Higashiyama-Yasui city bus stop. By car, use the paid parking nearby.

Why You Should Visit

For three nights only, Kodaiji in Higashiyama pairs Noh theatre with digital staging. The Noh play Hagoromo is performed in the Hojo hall and at the Chokushimon gate, while mist effects over the Hojo garden, a lit bamboo grove and 3D hologram displays fill the grounds. A restored Golden Tea Room, normally kept out of public view at Fushimi Momoyama Castle, is on special display for this edition only. A good fit for anyone who wants to take in Noh by night at the temple tied to Hideyoshi and his wife Nene.

What time is the Noh performed?

Three times a night: 18:30 in the Hojo hall, 19:30 at the Chokushimon gate and 20:30 in the Hojo hall, about 15 minutes each. The schedule is the same on all three days.

Can I bring children?

Yes. Elementary-age children and younger are free, and junior and senior high school students pay 1,000 yen.

Can I go inside the Golden Tea Room?

No, it can be viewed from the outside only.
