Why You Should Visit

Once a year Kintetsu opens its train depots to the public, and 2026 is the 27th edition. At the Goido Inspection and Repair Depot in Kashiba, you can see things only a maintenance depot offers: a 40-ton crane lifting a car body, the new 8A series commuter train on display, and a look under the trains from the inspection pit. Driver and conductor experiences and the AT cart ride are allocated by online lottery in advance. Admission is free, and there are railway goods stalls and food booths. Enough to fill a day for children who love trains.
