Why You Should Visit

A community summer festival that caps off the season in Kasai. The Aug 1 eve fest features guest live acts and an amateur singing contest; the Aug 2 main day brings the 'Saisai Yokocho' food alley, street stalls, stage performances and folk dancing, closing with a fireworks display. Kids' games like ring toss and a haunted house round out the fun—great for families who want to soak up a classic Japanese summer festival.

Pre-event — Saisai Stamp Rally: from Jul 1 to Jul 31, collect stamps at participating shops around Kasai. Every three different stamps earns one spin of the prize lottery on the main festival day (Aug 2). Participating shops and full rules are on the official stamp rally page.
