Why You Should Visit

An autumn festival around Inano Shrine and Miyanomae-dori in central Itami, held on the same day as the shrine's autumn grand festival. The Miyamae futon-daiko — a drum float topped with stacked red cushions — leaves the shrine in the morning, spends the day touring the town centre past Hankyu Itami Station, Sangenji-mae Plaza and the sake brewery street, and returns to the shrine in the evening. Stalls line Miyanomae-dori, and original uchiwa fans are planned to be handed out at the festival HQ. An easy one to catch while you're in town.
