Venue & access: Safari Resort Himeji Central Park About 5 min by car from Sanyo Himeji-Higashi IC on the Sanyo Expressway; or Shinki Bus route 74 bound for Himeji Central Park from the north exit of JR Himeji Station

Why You Should Visit

A summer fireworks show over the amusement park side of Himeji Central Park. About 3,000 shells go up in roughly 10 minutes from around Kaze no Shiro and the Venus GP, right after the rides. It runs on 31 days in total — weekends, public holidays and the Obon period — and park admission is required.

Watch from near the Hurricane ride, facing Kaze no Shiro

They cannot be seen from the safari side
From the car park you see only part of the display, with no music
The MC is stationed near the Hurricane

From 19:30, the upper hillside area (above the Party Cups)

Notes

The show runs in rain, but may be called off at short notice for strong wind, severe weather or other safety reasons
Last admission to the amusement park is 20:00, when it also closes
Some rides stop taking riders earlier because of the fireworks setup, sunset or crowding
Rides near the launch area close earlier to keep the safety distance
Please do not watch from the surrounding roads; it disturbs residents and blocks traffic

Are the fireworks held every day?

No. They are held only on weekends and public holidays between July 18 and September 27, plus the Obon period (August 10–14). Check the park calendar for exact dates.

What happens if it rains?

The show goes ahead in rain, but it may be cancelled on the day due to strong wind or severe weather. Check the official site for updates.

Where can I watch from?

Watch from near the Hurricane ride facing Kaze no Shiro, or from the night pool area of Aqueria facing the Ferris wheel. The safari side has no view, and from the car park you see only part of the display without the music.
