Why You Should Visit

A dog-friendly market around Kongo Pond in Fukatani, a farming hamlet in Kobe's Kita Ward. The third edition is themed "Autumn Harvest Festival": buy freshly harvested Inochi no Ichi rice — a rare variety grown by organiser K.Farmer — along with black edamame and just-picked vegetables straight from local growers. Food trucks serve new-rice onigiri with pork miso soup, banh mi and kushikatsu, and there is bread, coffee and treats for your dog too. Entry is free and it runs rain or shine, making it an easy countryside stop on an autumn drive with your dog.
