Why You Should Visit

A food festival that gathers the best of northern Kyoto just outside the north exit of Fukuchiyama Station. Around 50 booths line the park: chefs cooking with Tamba-region produce and seafood from the Sea of Japan, café stands, and farmers selling their own crops. You can talk directly with the growers and take home fresh vegetables. Organised by Fukuchiyama City, it runs several times a year in spring, summer and autumn. Admission is free, making it an easy stop if you want to sample autumn flavours of the Tamba area right by the station.
