Why You Should Visit
A seven-day 'next-generation flea market' at Souq Park on the 10th floor of Hankyu Umeda Main Store. The whole venue is staged as a single circus: instead of separate booths per seller, goods are mixed and grouped by theme—tools for living, art and craft, textiles and clothing, food and everyday life. Hand-woven rugs, kintsugi, antiques, folk crafts, blown glass and fermented foods share the same shelves, so it rewards wandering rather than shop-by-shop browsing. 31 makers and shops from across Japan take part, nine of them for the first time. Free entry, and being inside a department store it is unaffected by weather.
