Chidoribashi Autumn Bon Odori — Baika Bessekai Sai 2026

Why You Should Visit

The neighbourhood bon odori of Chidoribashi, held in Baika-higashi Park in Osaka's Konohana Ward. From 2026 the local collective Chidories has taken over production and rebuilt it as "Baika Bessekai Sai", a single day running 13:00 to 22:00. Food stalls — okonomiyaki, coffee, crêpes — plus live music and DJs fill the park from the afternoon, and the dancing starts as the sun goes down. Hands-on corners include caricature drawing, kimono dressing, a plant-brush workshop and mölkky. Free to enter and easy to drop into with kids.

Entry is free and open — you can simply walk into the park. Food and goods at the stalls are paid separately.

What time does the bon odori dancing start?

The site is open 13:00–22:00. The dancing begins after dark; Konohana Ward's festival schedule lists an 18:00 start.

What happens if it rains?

The event is cancelled in severe weather. Day-of decisions are announced on the organisers' Instagram.

Is it good for families with children?

It is held in a public park and you can come and go freely. Caricature drawing, superball scooping, mölkky and a plant-brush workshop give children things to do.
