Why You Should Visit

A two-day event for motorcycle fans held on the Arashiyama-Takao Parkway, a scenic toll road through the hills between Arashiyama and Takao in Kyoto. Around 15 brands bring about 30 demo bikes, including Harley-Davidson, Triumph, Ducati and BMW Motorrad, and you can ride a guided 20 km round trip from the Takao-dai Parking Area to the Ogurayama Parking Area behind a lead vehicle. There are also bike displays, gear and apparel stalls, food trucks, DJs and a flea market. A good stop for riders comparing their next bike or anyone touring around Kyoto that weekend.

About 40 minutes by car or motorcycle from Kyoto-minami IC (enter via the Takao or Arashiyama gate). Motorcycles of 125cc or less are not allowed on the parkway.

TICKETS / REGISTRATION

No reservation needed to enter. Discounted advance toll tickets are on Peatix. Test ride bookings are scheduled to open on a Google Form from October 1.

FAQ

Is there an entry fee?

Entry to the event is free, but since it is held on the parkway you pay the toll (1,500 yen for motorcycles, 1,800 yen for cars; 1,300 yen and 1,500 yen if bought in advance).

Do I need to book a test ride?

Test rides cost 1,500 yen each, with bookings scheduled to open on a Google Form from October 1. Check the official site or Instagram for details.

Can I ride there on a bike of 125cc or less?

No. Motorcycles of 125cc or less are not permitted on the Arashiyama-Takao Parkway.
