Why You Should Visit

An autumn neighborhood festival held every October by the residents' associations and local groups around Hanshin Ogi Station, at Fukuiike Park in Higashinada Ward. The stage features local performers — a magic show, kids' dance, cheerleading, yosakoi and sign-language songs, school brass bands and a Shorinji Kempo demonstration — plus the festival music of the Ogi and Nishi-Ogi danjiri floats. Around 30 kinds of stalls offer dagashi sweets, shooting galleries, a senbon-kuji string lottery, yakisoba, shaved ice and more. This year, the new mascot character for the Ogi neighborhood will be announced on stage around noon.
