Why You Should Visit

To mark the 110th anniversary of Amagasaki becoming a city, danjiri floats and taiko drum floats from across Amagasaki gather for one day on the north side of JR Amagasaki Station. Twenty-one floats come from four districts — Kifune, Tsukiji, Oda and Tsukaguchi — and you can watch up close as danjiri face off and clash in the yama-awase, along with the wild abare-daiko drum floats. Usually you would have to visit each district's own festival to see them; here they line up side by side right by the station. Otae Festa runs at the same time, with hands-on activities for kids and food stalls, so it works well for families too.

Is it good for children?
Otae Festa, held at the same time, has announced hands-on activities for children and food stalls.
