Venue & access: Nara Prefectural Umami Kyuryo Park About 2 min walk from Ikebe Station (Kintetsu Tawaramoto Line) to the north greenway entrance. From Goido Station (Kintetsu Osaka Line), take the Nara Kotsu bus bound for Umami Kyuryo Park to the last stop (about 20 min). By car, about 15 min south of Horyuji IC on the Nishi-Meihan Expressway; parking 8:00–18:00

Why You Should Visit

A marche held alongside the autumn flower festival at Umami Kyuryo Park in Nara. Stroll among roughly 1,000 dahlias of about 120 varieties, some 110,000 cosmos and reddening kochia while browsing food stalls and local specialties from the four towns of Kitakatsuragi District. Volunteer garden tours, a stamp rally and an Instagram photo campaign round it out; a good fit for families and photographers.
