Why You Should Visit

For seven days spread across late September, tethered hot-air balloons rise from the east lawn of Akashi Park. Balloon rides were reservation-only (360 per day) and are already fully booked, but the Mori no Beer Garden on the same lawn is free to enter with no booking needed. Around 80 garden seats sit beside food booths serving Akashi craft beer, karaage, gyoza and more, and you can watch the balloons lift off in the morning and evening slots. Bubble performances run through the day, so it works as a rest stop for families too.

FAQ

Can I still ride a balloon?
Rides were reservation-only and the 360-per-day slots are already full. No walk-up tickets are announced, so the balloons are something to watch from the beer garden.
Does the beer garden need a booking or fee?
Free entry, no booking; you can come and go freely. Food and drinks are paid in cash at each booth.
When can I see the balloons?
Flight slots are 7:30–10:00 and 17:30–20:00. The pilot may suspend or cancel without notice in strong wind, even without rain.
Is it suitable for families with children?
There are about 80 seats on the lawn, plus bubble shows and balloon-twisting (paid), so it works well as a family rest stop.
