Why You Should Visit

One of western Japan's largest food-and-entertainment festivals, with around 60 food stalls filling Taiyo-no-Hiroba Plaza in Osaka Castle Park. Graze your way through ramen, mala soup, offal fried rice, lean-cut steak and more. The stage hosts an idol festival with around 40 groups, a karaoke contest, and a kids' dance competition. Admission is free with free re-entry, so it's an easy add-on to a stroll around Osaka Castle.

Do I need a ticket or reservation to enter?

No — admission is free and no reservation is needed. You only pay for food, drinks and some activities.

Is it good for families with kids?

Yes — there's a hands-on aquarium (¥800, free for 2 and under) and a kids' dance contest, and the wide lawn plaza is easy to navigate with children.

Are the hours the same every day?

Mostly 11:00–21:00, but the first day (Sep 18) starts at 17:00 and the last day (Sep 23) closes at 18:00.
