Why You Should Visit

Wazuka, the heartland of Uji tea production, holds its biggest festival of the year at Wazuka Sports Park and the facilities around it. Food stalls, food trucks, local-product booths and tea experiences fill the grounds, alongside an outdoor stage and hands-on woodworking and sports activities. Entries from a photo and sketch contest are displayed, and fireworks are planned for the finale. It makes a relaxed day out in a hillside town of tea fields, especially for families.
