Why You Should Visit

Vermeer's Girl with a Pearl Earring returns to Japan for the first time in 14 years, on loan from the Mauritshuis in The Hague. The show at Nakanoshima Museum of Art brings 12 works in total — two Vermeers, including his earliest known painting Diana and her Nymphs, plus ten Dutch Golden Age masterpieces — arranged in six themes from portraiture to landscape, with a 20-meter immersive video corridor. Tickets are date-and-time reserved and were sold by lottery only; there are no door sales.
