46th Totsukawa Village Cultural Festival 2026

Why You Should Visit

The village culture festival of Totsukawa, Nara's southernmost village, held over two days around Culture Day at the Totsukawa Village Gymnasium and Culture Center. In past years it has featured exhibitions of photos, paintings, crafts and pottery by village groups, tea served by the Totsukawa High School tea club, and stage performances including choirs, bands and local taiko drumming, with local food sold outside. From Kintetsu Yamato-Yagi Station, take the Nara Kotsu Yagi–Shingu express bus (about 4 hours) to around Totsukawa Village Hall. By car, about 2 hours from Yamato-Yagi.
