Why You Should Visit
A neighborhood-wide summer festival hosted by the Tarumi Center-Gai shopping district. This year's centerpiece is a hands-on kids' event, "Collect the vaccines and bring back the smiles!", starring local hero Tarumin-ger. Kids gather up the vaccines against a "grumpy-face disease" sweeping the town to rescue the shopkeepers, and clearing the mission wins a prize (free to join, first-come). Booths from Kobe Commercial High School, the Tarumi Library, the Shiokaze Marché and more line the arcade, making it an easy, locally rooted day out for the whole family.
