Why You Should Visit
A day on the sand where Suma's fishers, local groups, the aquarium and lifeguards set up hands-on booths about the sea right in front of JR Suma Station. Try SUP with Sumaura Suisan, a fish touch pool and a look at nori seaweed seeds, make shell crafts and help with eelgrass beds with the Suma Satoumi group, do crafts with Kobe Suma Sea World, and play beach flags or Mölkky. The EAT LOCAL KOBE farmers market and food trucks are there too. Admission is free, and it suits families who want to get hands-on with the sea.
