Why You Should Visit

A seaside market held at SUMA Terasu, the land-side facility of Suma Fishing Park, right by Sumaura-koen Station. Stalls cover handmade goods, food and sweets, homeware and workshops, with the sea towards the Akashi Strait directly in front. The area is open to people who are not fishing, so you can browse and then sit and look at the water. It is held outdoors and cancelled if it rains. The scale suits a short stop, which makes it easy to fold into a day of walking the Suma coastline.

Right outside Sumaura-koen Station on the Sanyo Electric Railway. Drivers can use the Sumaura Park car park (paid, 223 spaces).

No advance registration. You can come and go during opening hours.

FAQ

Can I come if I am not fishing?

Yes. SUMA Terasu is the land-side area, open to people who are not fishing. Entry to the market is free and you can come just to shop or eat.

What happens if it rains?

It is cancelled in rain. Whether it goes ahead is posted on the organiser's and Suma Fishing Park's official Instagram accounts on the day.

Is there parking?

The Sumaura Park car park in front of Sumaura-koen Station has 223 paid spaces. It can fill up, so the Sanyo Electric Railway is the safer option.
