Why You Should Visit

A winter road race around Rokko Island. Alongside the 10km, 5km and 3km, there are 1.8km for elementary schoolers, a 1.2km parent-and-child pair and a 1.2km costume run — serious runners and families share the same morning. Being a man-made island, the course is flat with no traffic lights, so the sea breeze is what decides your time. Entries run from 17 August to 16 November 2026.

FAQ

Can children take part?

Yes — there is a 1.8km race for elementary schoolers and a 1.2km parent-and-child pair. Junior high students can run the 3km, and high school students get reduced rates on the 3km, 5km and 10km.

When do entries close?

Monday 16 November 2026. Entries opened on 17 August via the Sports Entry form linked from the official race site.

How do I get there?

Race HQ at Kobe Municipal Rokko Island High School is walkable from Island Center or Marine Park stations on the Rokko Liner, which you join at JR Sumiyoshi or Hanshin Uozaki Station.
