Why You Should Visit

A three-day festival of comedy that works without words. At Namba Hiroba, the plaza in front of Namba Station, street performers and comedy shows are free to watch, with Osaka food trucks on site. At SPACE14 in Shinsaibashi PARCO, ticketed theatre shows include the non-verbal comedy CHALLENGE, directed by Akira Ishida of NON STYLE, and the variety-style SKIT COMEDY SHOW. Easy to catch while shopping in Minami over the October long weekend, and friendly for visitors who don't speak Japanese.

FAQ

Which parts are free?

The street performances, comedy shows and opening events at Namba Hiroba are free with no booking. The theatre shows at SPACE14 (Shinsaibashi PARCO 14F) need a ticket.

Can I enjoy it without understanding Japanese?

The programme centres on comedy that doesn't rely on language. CHALLENGE is a non-verbal piece made with children and overseas visitors in mind.

What happens if it rains?

The street programme at Namba Hiroba goes ahead in light rain and is cancelled in bad weather. The SPACE14 shows are indoors.

Can I bring children?

For the theatre shows, children aged 4 and under are free on a guardian's lap; a ticket is needed if they take a seat. Under-16s need a guardian for shows ending after 19:00.
