Venue & access: Nara City Hall Front Plaza About 10 minutes on foot from Shin-Omiya Station on the Kintetsu Nara Line, or take a Nara Kotsu bus (routes 27, 28, 160, 163) from Shin-Omiya to the Nara Shicho-mae stop.

Why You Should Visit

A two-day food event with 12 food trucks lined up on the plaza in front of Nara City Hall. The menu runs from takoyaki, burgers, hot dogs and karaage to doughnuts and other sweets, so you can cover lunch and an afternoon snack in one stop. Some trucks attend only one of the two days, so the line-up shifts a little between Saturday and Sunday. It's within walking distance of Kintetsu Shin-Omiya Station and runs until 6 pm, making it easy to drop by late in the day. A good fit for families who want a casual outdoor meal.

Are the same trucks there on both days?

Some vendors change. Takoyaki Kyoichi, UnnnnnnnMA!BURGER, Konpiratei and LIHI MAHALO are there both days; Yellow Buns Dog, Kitokiya, Ahiru Kitchen and Hokkori only on Sat Oct 10; Soratobu Karaage, Ginga Shokudo, Naniwaya and Kiyonomori Farm only on Sun Oct 11.

What kind of food is there?
