Why You Should Visit

A two-day dinosaur event at Minoh Q's Mall, directly connected to Minoh-Kayano Station. On Kayano Square there's a race run in inflatable T. rex costumes and dinosaur karts, while a roughly 4 m-long dinosaur roams the mall four times a day. A corner created with the Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum displays fossilised dinosaur dung you can touch and partial skeletons of Fukuiraptor and Fukuisaurus, and you can take photos with a dinosaur expert. Everything is free (the race alone needs a same-day shopping receipt and an advance booking), so it's easy to fit into a family shopping trip.
