Why You Should Visit
A month of free Halloween events at Hirakata Biorne, the shopping centre in front of Keihan Hirakatashi Station. A stamp rally across six spots in the building runs all month, there is a bread and coffee expo on October 3, a science show on October 18 and pro wrestling on October 25, and on the final day, October 31, a costumed Halloween parade winds through the mall. A small costume accessory is enough to join, and the parade ends with sweets for children of primary-school age and under plus a group photo. The stamp rally and parade are indoors, so rain won't spoil them — a good fit for families with young children.
