Why You Should Visit
A market held at Shounso, a sukiya-style residence built in 1929, now in its seventh edition. The house, also known as the Yoshimura Residence, is a nationally registered tangible cultural property standing on Kitayama-dori in Matsugasaki. The market has grown every year, and this time many booths are planned in the garden as well. Expect handmade goods, homeware, fashion, food, workshops and exhibitions — a good fit if you like browsing makers' work while taking in a historic house and its garden.
