Why You Should Visit

A year-end running race at Kobe Agri Park (the former Kobe Winery and Agricultural Park) in Kobe's Nishi Ward, now in its 12th edition. The 2.5 km loop runs through orchards normally closed to the public, passing from pear groves into the vineyards. Five distances from 2.5 km to 30 km are on offer, and the 2.5 km race is a single lap, making it an easy first race. Every finisher goes home with a hot-pot vegetable set from local Nishi Ward farmers: Chinese cabbage, daikon, leek and shungiku. A fitting last run of the year.

NOTE

Course
  • Every race laps the same 2.5 km orchard loop (30 km = 12 laps / 20 km = 8 / 10 km = 4 / 5 km = 2 / 2.5 km = 1)
  • Runners who have not started a new lap by 12:45 finish at that point
  • The course may change on the day
For runners
  • Separate men's and women's divisions, no age limit; top three in each division are awarded
  • IC chip timing with lap splits; certificates issued on the day
  • Sports drink and water, heated and air-conditioned indoor changing rooms (separate for men and women), indoor bag storage
  • Participation gift: four hot-pot vegetables from Nishi Ward farmers (Chinese cabbage, daikon, leek, shungiku); contents may change

* Entry fees are not refunded if the race is cancelled due to bad weather
