Koyadera Matsuri 2026

Why You Should Visit

A two-day summer festival held in the grounds of Koyadera, an old temple in Teramoto, Itami. The local Teramoto Fire Brigade runs it each year under the motto "a festival children can enjoy." Night stalls line the precinct from early evening, and from 19:00 a Bon dance begins around the tower. Classic ennichi fare — shooting games, goldfish scooping, cotton candy, yakisoba — is on offer, and the second night ends with a raffle that runs until the prizes are gone. A simple, community-rooted summer fixture, easy to drop by in a yukata on a cool evening.

Can I go by car?

There is no parking and the organizer asks visitors not to come by car. Access by bus from JR or Hankyu Itami Station is recommended.
