Why You Should Visit

A one-day event that fills Suki Park, a short walk from Hankyu Itami Station, with light objects, paper lanterns and LED candles. Local shopping-street associations run food stalls with yakisoba, takoyaki, karaage and craft beer, and there are kid-friendly activities such as glowing bubble gun rentals and a stamp rally. A roughly 15-meter illuminated artwork, built from plastic bottle caps by local residents at summer workshops, is also on display. Admission is free, and the park shifts from daytime market to glowing night scene as the evening sets in.
