Price & booking: Adults (high school and above) ¥1,400 advance / ¥1,600 at the door; elementary and junior high students ¥600 advance / ¥800 at the door; preschoolers free Advance tickets went on sale at 10:00 on May 28 via Ticket Pia, e+, and Lawson Ticket. One ticket is required per day, and same-day tickets are sold at the venue until 16:30.
Venue & access: Kobe Sanbo Hall, 1F & 2F Main Exhibition Halls 1-minute walk from Trade Center Station on the Port Liner. Parking near the venue gets congested, so the organizer recommends public transport.

Why You Should Visit

The autumn edition of Kobe's largest reptile and exotic animal expo, held twice a year at Kobe Sanbo Hall. Professional breeders and specialist shops fill the large exhibition halls on the first and second floors, showing and selling leopard geckos, bearded dragons, tortoises and other reptiles, plus amphibians, birds of prey, small mammals, and caudex plants such as agave. Hands-on animal corners and stalls for keeping supplies and food make it worth a visit whether you plan to take an animal home or just want to look.

Reptiles, amphibians, birds of prey and small mammals, plus rare plants such as caudex species, agave and staghorn ferns. Around 10,000 animals on display and for sale

Programs

Hands-on animal corner 10:00–17:00 (¥600 for ages 3 and up; children of elementary age and under must be accompanied by an adult 18+)
Radio Kansai host Sumire Seike interviews exhibitors around the hall, 12:00–12:30 and 15:00–15:30 each day (broadcast over the hall PA)
Chalk art workshop (paid) and venue-exclusive capsule toys
Exotic food stalls: crocodile takoyaki, crocodile gyoza, color-changing chameleon soda, and game dishes such as Asian black bear steak (limited quantities)
Giveaways: spray heads via LINE lottery (2,000 per day) and tweezers for following the official X or Instagram (1,000 per day)

FAQ

Do I need to book in advance?

No booking is required. Advance tickets are sold through ticket agencies, and same-day tickets are available at the venue. One ticket is needed per day.

Is it suitable for children?

Preschoolers enter free. There is a hands-on animal corner (¥600 for ages 3 and up; children of elementary age and under need an adult 18+ with them) and a chalk art workshop. Strollers and carts cannot be brought inside, so plan accordingly with small children.

Can I bring my own pet?

Bringing your own animals into the venue is strictly prohibited. Animals purchased at the event can be taken home.

Does it run in the rain?

The whole event takes place indoors, so it runs regardless of the weather.
