Price & booking: Performances: child (2–18) 1,000 yen / adult (19+) 2,000 yen / pair ticket (age 0–2 + parent) 2,000 yen. Workshops: 200–1,500 yen (cash on the day) Performance tickets are sold in advance via Peatix (credit card or convenience-store payment); workshops are paid in cash on the day. Puk's 'Mou Nugenai' (both shows) and 'Sakana Ippiki Nama no Mama' have sold out. Check availability for each show on the official site.
Venue & access: Small Hall, North Lobby and Lobby, 1F, Kobe Nada Ward Citizens' Hall About a 10-minute walk from JR Maya Station or Hanshin Oishi Station; about 15 minutes from Hankyu Oji-koen or Rokko Stations or JR Rokkomichi Station. The hall has no car park, so use nearby paid parking or public transport.

Why You Should Visit

The fourth edition of a small stage festival for families that takes over Nada Ward Citizens' Hall for three days. Professional puppet companies such as Puk, Clarte and Kyogei perform alongside theatre, music and magic acts, with workshops running too. Shows are arranged by age, from a 'first theatre' for ages 0–2 to a reading play for older children and adults. Leaving and re-entering is fine if a child cries — the festival is built around first-time theatregoers. Performances cost 1,000 yen for children and 2,000 yen for adults, paid in advance via Peatix; workshops are paid in cash on the day. Popular shows have already sold out, so check availability on the official site before you go.
