Get off at Sogo-Undo-Koen Station on the municipal subway Seishin-Yamate Line. By car, about 25 min from Sannomiya via the Sanroku Bypass; P1 and P2 are the closest lots to Cosmos Hill (about 1,800 spaces; ¥700 per day for standard cars, P3 by the station only is ¥200/hour).

There are 8 car parks within a 12-minute walk of Cosmos Hill, Kobe Sports Park, and 7 public restrooms within 8 minutes. The map shows each with its walking time.

TICKETS / REGISTRATION

No reservation needed. Lei-making sign-up opens at 12:00 on the day, first 10 people per session (cancelled in rain).

Cosmos Festival (Oct 17)

• Cosmos stamp rally: answer quizzes to receive a small gift
• Cosmos Live: from 11:00, several performers
• Play corner: colouring, origami, fishing game, soap bubbles and more
• Free herbal tea service

Cosmos DAYS

• Cosmos marche: kitchen cars serving brunch and sweets (festival day, 10:00–15:00; moved to Oct 18 in case of rain)
• Cosmos lei-making seminar: make a Hawaiian-style flower lei from cosmos. ¥500, sign-up from 12:00, three 30-minute sessions at 12:30 / 13:15 / 14:00, first 10 people each. Cancelled in rain
• Free picnic rug rental: Oct 1–31, 10:00–16:00, at the park management centre (limited numbers)
• Cosmos bingo: Oct 1–31. Pick up a card at the management centre, photograph the keywords around the park with your phone, and complete it for an original tin badge

Digital photo contest

• Entries wanted of the park through the seasons, including cosmos and autumn scenes. Digital photos only; entry period Nov 1–30; enquiries to the management centre photo-contest desk

Cosmos Hill

• About 100,000 cosmos on a 40,000 m² hill; varieties include Sensation, Picotee, Seashell, Psyche and Sonata
• Best viewing mid to late October
• Toilets, water and vending machines are in the adjacent Adventure Land area
