Why You Should Visit
Kobe International University on Rokko Island marks 20 years since its chapel pipe organ, nicknamed "Luna," was dedicated, with a concert themed on moonlight. In the first half, French organ pieces alternate with improvised singing-bowl playing; in the second half, still images created for each piece are projected onto the chapel walls as the organ plays. The university's organist Junko Ito is at the console. Admission is free, but you need to apply in advance, and seats go to the first 100 applicants. A good pick if you want to hear a pipe organ in the space it was built for.
