Why You Should Visit

A homegrown autumn festival run by local volunteers on the ground at Gamo Park in Joto Ward. It takes its name from Enami Sarugaku, a performing art born here in medieval times, and this year's theme is "kids and grown-ups, everyone come!" Around 40 groups rotate on the outdoor stage all day with yosakoi, dance, danjiri festival music and drum-and-fife bands, and Osaka Pro Wrestling puts on a show plus a wrestling class for kids. Food stalls, games and hands-on corners fill the ground, and entry is free. A good pick for families who want to drop in on a neighborhood festival.

Nearest station is Gamo-yonchome on the Osaka Metro Nagahori Tsurumi-ryokuchi and Imazatosuji lines. No parking is announced for the venue, so come by train.
